Reasons to learn to drive

Driving is something many of us just take for granted. We learnt how to drive when we hit 17 and never really looked back. There are a surprising number of people who have never learnt to drive. These could be people who live in cities, where public transport is readily available and reliable, or they could be people who prefer to travel by bike. This is the more environmentally friendly option!

Those people who have not learnt how to drive could be doing themselves a disservice. Think about it – you go on holiday and want to hire a car. What if you cannot legally drive? This is a time when you want to be out and exploring, rather than figuring out how to buy bus tickets in another language.

Other times you might want to learn to drive include when you want to travel to more rural locations, particularly in the UK when bus services can vary dramatically depending on where you are!
